CONFESSION TO MY CUSTOMERS, FRIENDS AND READERS
This will be my last printed catalog. Obviously, I’ve
been edging away from printing catalogs for a couple years now,
but I was still forced to print up a few lists for friends who
do not own computers. From this point forward, all Lynn Munroe
Books Catalogs will be available online only. Those of you who
absolutely do not have access to our website can obtain a printout
from me or from anyone you know with a computer.
I
must confess that as I get older and slower, I no longer wish
to deal with auctioning off books myself. It’s a lot of hassle
for diminishing returns, a whole lot of time and trouble, and
my hope that it would make everyone happy has not panned out.
Luckily for us, the good people at eBay have set up a very nice
Internet auction house that sells vintage paperbacks with us or
without us every day. The paperbacks shown in the following checklist
will be available for bidding on eBay during the month of September
2003, until they are all sold. (Hopefully that will not take more
than a few weeks.) If you see a book you want here, you are welcome
to bid on it there. . For the tiny band of customers who tell
me they don’t have access to Internet sites like eBay, I
can only offer a few helpful hints:
1. Get someone you know who does have access to eBay to bid for
you. (A surprising number of people already do this.)
2.
Try bidding on a book. You might enjoy it. And
3.
Buy a frickin’ computer already. The 21st Century is passing
you by!
Of
course there is that 4th unspoken option, and if you choose that
one I will miss you, and I truly hope you have enjoyed our efforts.
As for those remaining, enjoy! Bid on anything you want here when
it comes up on eBay, e-mail me with any questions (such as clarification
on condition), and look for my next e-catalog in 2004.
